The Rain

Today I feel great. I was sitting next to my bedroom window doing my homework, listening to my favorite songs and looking at the rain hitting my glass window. What a wonderful day! I like rain especially at night. It keeps my mind quiet by listening to every drop it sounds. I have done all my homework for next week which make me feel relief. I am ready for new work and new lecture. I feel more confident this semester. Just being more organize saves me a lot of time. I know my mind is neater now. I don't have to push myself hard to study or do homework anymore. It is becoming my habits. The next step is to see those habit become pleasure time. Study time should be the time that I am looking forwards to it.

The First week of school

The first week of school is pretty excited for me, but a little bit busy. I have to run from one class of another because it is scheduled after each other. Anyway, talk about my tools that I chose to use for this semester,They are working well so far. My flexible schedule is being added and changed depend on what I like to do first. I am not talking about my class schedule which I can not change. I am talking about my homework schedule which I have to set a side some time to do it at home. I know that I like to go out on the weekends so I just block some time on the schedule and the rest is for doing homework, chores and spending with my family. Yesterday after school which is my time to do homework, but my family wanted to go to the movie with me and I felt tired, so I decided to go with them instead of doing homework. The movie was pretty funny. I felt better after that. When I came back home, I switched the time from going out on weekends to doing homework. I felt great. And this morning I didn't feel want to go out because I knew that I had to do something. The thing is that I didn't feel bored either because between my homework time I played my game that I like and bet with myself. If I win, I can play two times. If I loose, I have to finish my homework. Unfortunately, I lost. Therefore I sat down and completed all my works. It was fun and relief. I talked to myself like crazy :)). Talking about the To Do List that I mentioned in last post, I didn't do it yet this week because I remember all what I had to do. I didn't need to write down. However, I still keep it as my tool because next week there will be more piles of work than this week. Lastly, it is about my planner. I am using it, but I don't know how efficiency it is yet. I will see next week when there are more incident to take note of. There is another thing that I want to declare also. Last semester I set a goal, but I didn't reach it. I didn't follow my plans. I felt stress all the time. It is a shamed. However, it taught me a lot. It made me find another effective way, which I am doing now, for myself. I can escape from somebody else, but I can not escape from my own a shamed feeling. If I do not reach my goal, I can not stop. I will keep exploring new strategies for myself, for my own comfortable which bring me to success until the end. I know that there are a lot of thing around me that influence me and make me want to give up, but by believing deeply into my own thought help me stand up straighter and stronger.

Back to School

I have been off from school for about four weeks. Tomorrow it is time to go back and start my new schedule at school. I will do my best. I hope that the result for this semester will be better than Fall 2007. One semester have gone and another semester comes. I feel like it is an endless process. However, by limiting my goals and working on them one at a time, I can see when it is going to end and when I am going to reach my goal. I am looking forward to transfer to university patiently. There are about five more semesters. If I look at the whole time that I am going to spend studying to transfer, I will think that it is a long time and that makes me want to give up. Luckily, I don't look at the time that I spend totally. I curiously think of what I can learn from these times. It should be different thing that I learn from each semester. To fulfill my ambitious, I have to keep registering for a new subject that I don't know yet.

Spring Semester

Spring semester is going to come in about a week and a half. I have four classes and a part time job to handle beside my family. I choose three tools that I think they are going to help me out this semester. They are a flexible schedule, a to do list, and a planner. Having a schedule is a good way to manage time, but a flexible schedule is a more effective way to manage time and to get things done without getting stress from distraction. My flexible schedule is written down on a small white board that I hang it next to my fridge. It is easy to move activities around. For instance, the schedule is planned to do homework on Saturday morning, unfortunately on that Saturday morning I have to take my car to a mechanic. So I have to change the time to do homework to another time before its due that. I can cancel to go out with friends and replace it by doing homework or I can go out with friends, but I just have to come back earlier to finish what should have been done for that day. It is better to move thing around than to do it with stress or not do it at all. Therefore, flexibility is very important. To go along with the flexible schedule, I should have a to do list because that way I can write down what I have to do for a day include entertainment time. Moreover, I can prioritize the list and know what I have to do first. Then I move that priority thing to my flexible schedule at the first available time. That list I have to put it where I can see it most of the time. It doesn't have to be neat. I just need to jot down what I have to complete and new idea that come up to my head. A to do list is a good list considerately to remove idea from my head to a paper so that I won't let ideas in my head fly away. Last thing is a planner. It is a formal schedule. I have to write down every thing that need to be done on the exact date like doctor appointment, exam date, homework due date, and so on. I am going to take it with me wherever I go so that I have enough reason to open it and say no to rapid activities. It should help me, who have a hard time to say no to other people, a big deal. Finally, every thing is prepared and organized. At home I have my flexible schedule and to do list. Outside the house I have my planner. All these tools are things that help to push me to get into a neat and organized zone with a realistic goal for this semester.
Trying is a learning process. Rysellia

Happy New Year!

Now it is 10:54 p.m. on December 21st, 2007. It is only one hour and six minutes more until new year. There are a lot of people all around the world celebrating new year in their own country. One year passes by, another year comes in. Everything keeps moving and changing. As we can say the stable thing is the changing. Today we fall down and cry. Tomorrow we stand up and laugh. Who know! Now we are building our dream. Eventually, we will complete it and it will come to real life. If we clime up a stair, we will get to the top, but if we walk down the stair, we will reach the ground. If we stay still, we will go nowhere. Those activities we choose to do, they require effort to do them. Even though we do nothing, we still need to use our effort to stay still. Therefore, there should be no reason to let our dream fly around us and never come true. Use our effort and commitment to reach it and then relax and enjoy them. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Get ready for the new-blooming season

One season is over, another season is coming. Time is flying. Everything around myself keeps changing and changing. Look around and see how it changes is how I learn new things. Now I am ready for the new season. I will try my best to get a better result on what I will be doing than the last season. When I feel lazy, I will read a story about people who work hard to succeed. This is the best way for me to push myself to keep going. I know I can do it.

Story 4

I always admire the people who work hard to be successful. However, the person who I admire the most is my lovely father. The reasons why I love him and admire him are that he is a very responsible father, a helpful neighbor and a good friend. It is hard to be a responsible person if we don’t have enough money, but my father has done it perfectly. When my brother and I were young, he worked very hard to send us to school until we graduated from high school. His workload was double after we got in school. He always made sure that our family had enough clothes to wear and food to eat. Especially, all the materials that we needed for our school, he always bought them or made them for us. We didn’t have to worry about working to earn money or to help family with financial situation because he never let us knew about unhappy situation. The thing that he always asked from us was that we were good kids, friends and people. Even though he didn’t have a lot of time, he still made sometimes to visit our class and asked our teachers how we were doing. My father is not only a responsible person, but also a helpful neighbor. For instance, one day one of my neighbors had an emergency and needed to rush to the hospital in the middle of the night, he offered to take them and wait over there until morning. Another example, at his work, when the coworkers couldn’t complete their tasks on time, he offered to help them. It was so often that I saw people came to our house with something like fruit or flowers to show thankful for him. Moreover, my father is such a good friend. Any time that his friends need help, he’s always there for them. Even though he didn’t have money to help them, he had good heart. He is a trustful friend. David my father best friend told me, “I’m lucky that I know your dad.” Seeing what my father has done, make me so proud of myself to be his kid. He is my model. I will do what ever it takes to be like him, being responsible, helpful and nice person.
